Still after 7 work days of this now maybe we are really near to something. Maybe. Boy am I sick of this.
Once the thing goes live there will be a tsunami of changes, so I suppose I should be grateful, However I am on holiday for a couple of weeks so no most of those changes will go undone for a while.
I really find this implementation nonsense tedious. Ten yearsof it and I am over it pretty much. Designing systems, specifications, strategy, usability all fine but this is just so dull…

Amen to that. I’m reaching the end of this road too. Unless it’s really a treadmill. In which case we’re truly fucked.
Most of the time I attain a zen like detachment at this stage of the game – “it goes live, it doesn’t go live, we all carry on breathing” – but this time…grrrr… I think its the mind-numbing RPINCE2 driven tedium that permeates the technical partners methodology (and I know I should be happy that they at least have one!). I guess when you know it doesn’t have to be this way, when you are a optimist and adore the potential of the web, then the grind is partcularly disheartening…
